Office of Economic Opportunity - Emergency Services Program

Status: Accepting Applications (Survey Questions)

  • Complete this survey. The survey will stay open on a rolling basis for providers to request funding as needs arise. Providers can request funds multiple times through the survey.

  • Funds can cover expenses from April 1, 2020 and beyond. Funds must be expended by February 1, 2021, or until 60 days after expiration of the peacetime emergency, whichever occurs first. 

  • The primary grantee eligibility requirements are that the applicant is:

    • A Tribal Government; 

    • A Local Unit of Government; or

    • A Non-profit Organization

  • Providers applying for these funds must:

    • Target persons experiencing homelessness (including those are literally homeless or doubled-up) AND

    • Must be either a drop-in center, overnight shelter-rotating church, congregate overnight fixed-shelter, overnight shelter – motel voucher, congregate transitional housing, and/or street/mobile outreach program.

MN Dept. of Health - COVID–19 Health Care Response Grant

Status: Accepting Applications (RFP Download)

  • $150 million in funding for costs related to planning for, preparing for, or responding to the COVID–19 outbreak.

  • Funding can also be used for testing or facilities to provide treatment, isolation or quarantine.

MN Dept. of Human Services & Hunger Solutions Minnesota- COVID-19 Response Fund to Support Food Transport and Distribution Services

Status: Accepting Applications

  • Grant funds to support transportation efforts through initiatives such as mobile food shelves, meal programs, and other support services that get free or low-cost food assistance to people in need.

  • Grantees of these funds DO NOT need to be current Minnesota Food Shelf Program grantees, nor do they have to be current grantees of any funding from the Department of Human Services, or the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO).

MN Dept. of Employment & Economic Development - Small Business Emergency Loans

Status: Accepting Applications

  • Minnesota-Based Business loans ranging from $2,500 - $35,000, interest free.

  • Businesses should apply directly through a certified lender.
